Spherical teeth: This is the most basic and typical shape of carbide ball teeth, which is a complete sphere. In various rock drilling, mining, and other operations, the spherical design can make the ball teeth maintain good cutting and crushing effects when contacting the rock at different angles, with relatively uniform force and relatively uniform wear, which is suitable for a variety of rock working conditions.
Conical teeth: The shape of the teeth is similar to a cone, and the top is sharper. This shape of ball teeth can concentrate force on one point during the drilling process, making it easier to penetrate hard rocks. It is suitable for mining and drilling operations of rock layers with higher hardness and stronger firmness, such as granite, basalt, and other hard rocks.
Wedge-shaped teeth: The shape is similar to a wedge, with a wider bottom and a gradually pointed top. Wedge-shaped teeth can generate greater cutting force during drilling, and have a better effect on crushing rocks and cutting rock layers. They are often used in mining and tunnel excavation projects that require greater crushing force.
Spoon-shaped teeth: The shape is similar to a spoon, with a certain curvature and concave surface. Spoon-shaped teeth can better collect and discharge rock debris during operation, reduce the blockage of the drill bit by debris and improve drilling efficiency. They are often used in some working environments with high requirements for chip removal.
Flat-top teeth: A type of ball teeth with a flat top. When the flat-top teeth come into contact with the rock, the contact area is relatively large, and they can provide a relatively stable support force. They are suitable for some operations that require stable drilling and high drilling accuracy, such as directional drilling of tunnels.
Parabolic teeth: The contour of the teeth is parabolic. During the drilling process, this type of ball teeth can discharge rock debris along the trajectory of the parabola, reduce the wear and jam of the drill bit by debris, and improve the service life and drilling efficiency of the drill bit. They are often used in some working environments with high requirements for chip removal and drill bit life.
